Referral Criteria for HER2 Complete Tests

The following criteria have been established for the provision of the HER2 FISH test and only a specimen meeting these criteria will be analysed:

only breast tissue analysed by Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and which has been scored 2+ as per the commonly used HercepTest scoring system is eligible for a Complete Test
an individual patient is eligible for only one Complete Test;
a second Complete Test for an individual patient shall only apply in the following circumstances:

The patient has progressed from eBC to mBC; or

A patient has suffered a recurrence of the disease after a period of remission.
