FISH Loss of Pregnancy Screen
What is detected?
Loss of Pregnancy FISH testing detects the most common chromosome numerical abnormalities that may occur involving chromosomes X, Y, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21 and 22.
What is not detected?
FISH will not detect chromosome structural abnormalities, mosaicism or numerical chromosome abnormalities not involving X, Y, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21 and 22.
What are the benefits of FISH testing?
FISH testing provides a quick result within two working days for the most commonly occurring chromosome numerical abnormalities as mentioned above.
When will I get my results?
You will receive your results in 2 working days from your lead maternity caregiver or consultant.
